Cyberchondria

Why is the kids who will eat anything allergic to EVERYTHING??
Check out this little allergy face! I can't even figure out what it is because she looks like this most of the time these past few weeks.

Here is the latest: They go away in 12-24 hours. Are these hives??
Yesterday it was her low back & left leg, today its her right leg. No changes to laundry detergent or anything. I know I need to get her to a specialist, but it's horrible timing. Our insurance is no longer offering coverage in AZ (as of June), so I've been researching companies to apply for. Not the time to be adding problems to her medical record.

Sew Crafty & Baby Tiger

Last night I whipped out the sewing machine & made this little quilt inspired outfit I dreamed up. The shirt is just an old stained one I made an applique for. I haven't decided if it's cute yet, so don't tell me it is if it isn't.

Then I made her a little apron. It's hard to see because of the fabric, but it just simple with a little pocket. After the photo shoot/dance party I realized it looked cuter when it was tied in the front.

My clunky sewing machine lulled Ty to sleep. He has NEVER done this before!

I've been having a blast making these too. My friend Holly taught me. She is the jewelry queen. If you want one for your birthday speak up. I'm doing a contest for them too on my bow site.

The lowdown on Baby Tiger: Ty wanted in on the apron pictures, so he's dancing away with his best friend Baby Tiger. My kids have never been into stuffed animals. My mom buys them every soft stuffed toy she sees, so they have quite a collection. Immediately after I tell her NO MORE! Ty confirms that baby Tiger is his best friend. He was a gift from his cousin Savannah. We'll often hear Ty ask, "What was that Baby Tiger?"...so we know they communicate. He tells us that baby tiger & Miss Lily (my mom's cat) will play together & be friends. Ty sleeps with him, bathes with him...I think he's trying to hang onto a friend that can't move away. :-(

Trying to Put the Camera to Use

In effort to take more pictures of the kids...

Nothing says breakfast like yogurt w/ sprinkles!

Can you tell Ty loved this style? I finally figured out something his hair will do, but it ticked him off. He stopped being mad about it though when I showed him his buddies blog...Kutter...with a similar style. Then he though maybe it would be okay. Nothing like a little peer pressure! It was so much easier when they didn't have a say in what to wear or how to do their hair. I am so not ready for the teen years!

Happy Mother's Day to all the MOMs out there...especially mine!

Anniversary

Happy Cinco de Mayo to you! And Happy 8th Anniversary to us!

You know how 2 months before your anniversary you start to round up the years you've been married? Well, now that today is our anniversary, I feel like...we've only been married 8 years? I should do the math. But yes, 8, a wonderful 8. In honor...here are 8 things I love about our marriage:

1) We have the best unspoken give & take ever! We rarely talk about it, but I would be surprised if Jeff didn't feel the same.

2) Jeff is SO tolerant & understanding of my peculiar ways. Like when he can only use a certain cutting board, or utensil so the meat won't contaminate it. I think this would have been a "deal breaker" for most guys.

3) Our choice subjects allow us to work really well as one & not butt heads on our knowledge. He is the medical, science, history guy & I am anything but those.

4) We are both TV junkies & I totally enjoy that our late evenings are spent together deciding who is next to go on Survivor, or how we feel so lost after Lost.

5) In the last 8 years we've gone on some awesome trips. I love that we could share those experiences together. (Cancun, Honduras resort style & roughing it, snowboarding in Utah a few times, an AZ winter cabin, Disney land & world, Maine, Cape Cod...I could go on).

6) I love that we usually see things the same. The older I get the more I realize everyone sees thing so differently.

7) I love that we are each others #1.

8) I love what it took to get us here, to now. I love that Jeff knew his interests & his choice career, I'm glad we were led to AZ and so grateful our children came easy for us. I just love the lives we've built. I would not want to be anywhere else but here & now...and together.

Happy Anniversary Jeff. I love you!
